Feeding The Fire: that is Wikileaks

Whilst I do not condone the actions of Julian Assange and “Wikileaks” I believe that all this publicity surrounding the subject is just feeding the fire.

There has been some quite unbelievable revelations, and considerable embarrassment caused; but should journalism be held to account for the continuing actions of Assange. To which my answer is yes they should. Like all bed smells, which linger for a while and then disappear, absorbed, in to the aromas of everyday life; so will Assange, if ignored long enough. However, journalists will always find means by which the smell can be made to hang around for longer.

As suggested, “every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. If journalists are to stop feeding Assange’s ego and leave him alone, who will they prey on next?
